We will take you through two classic floristry techniques. In the morning you will create your own hand-tied bouquet, from scratch – using your own design instincts, colour choices and style, and create something you will feel really proud of!  Then, after a lunch break, we will re-convene to create a stunning eco-friendly table centre piece.

Building your Creative Confidence

At the Great British Flower School, we take great pride in our no-jargon, easy tips and tricks, and simplified teaching methods. EVERYONE leaves happy and proud and confident. We’ll talk you through the whole process, start with a demonstration, but then leave you to experiment, have a go, get a feel for it yourself, and will be on hand for advice and re-assurance – without judgement!  We firmly believe that the best arrangements come from a freedom of expression, loosening the grip and the nerves and being free to create, rather than following any strict formula or recipe.  We can guide you with stem counts and proportions, but they are just a guide! 

No cello wrap, foam or plastics here! 

For each session, we are proud to demonstrate our no-foam, no plastics techniques. There are many different ways to wrap and present as a gift; we’ll show you our preferred method that is much more environmentally friendly than the traditional cellophane bubble, and ALSO gives you the most control over paper placement AND limits the amount of tape required!  We’ll explain and demonstrate how easy and free-ing it is to design without foam, and show you our tips and tricks for success.
